Isn't baby laughter just the best!

Today was a bit of a challenge - I think Katelynn is getting a cold so not only is her nose (and arms, and hands and anything else she rubs against her face) snotty, but so is her mood! So this evening while I was doing dishes and I heard laughter coming from the other room, knowing Kevin was gone, it was a nice break from the day's whining and drama. I didn't get the best stuff on the camera but here's a little look - and this was already at least 5 minutes into the tickle fest! Thanks Libby for filling in for Daddy tonight and occupying Katelynn so well!

Daddy's Little Girl

I am still loving her little pony-tails, it changes how she looks so much. Surprised that they had stayed in as long as they had, the other day she was so cutely dressed and I finally snagged a photo! She's always been Daddy's little girl - now she just looks like it!

Katelynn's High Heels and Her Dancing Dress

While in Spokane at the beginning of the month, Katelynn tried on the play high heel shoes Grammy had for her - and surprisingly she did really well in them! (the video is a little long, I couldn't figure out how to cut it down, but it's still cute!)

She also put on the "dancing dress" that Grammy had gotten her and danced along to the music box. Not sure where she learned to dance like that, but we're thinking from Belle in Beauty and the Beast!

All Girl!

For the first time ever Katelynn asked for pony tails and then kept them in! Of course it was accompanied by her running around almost buck naked - which is her other new joy! I can hardly keep her pants on her! I guess it's a good sign for potty training....either way, I just love her little pony tails and how CUTE she is when she wears them. We're not sure if she is calling them "curls" or saying "girl" because she looks like a girl now, but it's cute just the same.

Katelynn knows her angels!

Last night while I was tucking Katelynn into bed, I said the same prayer I usually do, thanking God for a good day and a wonderful daughter, asking Him to place angels at her bed posts to protect her and her dreams and that she'd get restful sleep and wake up in a good mood. I haven't really ever explained any of that to her. Then last night after I said Amen, she sat up in bed and said "Angels!" I said, "yes, you'll have angles to protect you, now you need to go to sleep" and then she got up and went to each corner of her bed and pointed at the head/foot board corners saying "Angels" as she pointed at each one. She may not know what "bedposts" mean, but she knows where her angels stand!
